WEST BEND, IA, May 23, 2016 – MaxYield Cooperative recently contributed $2500 to Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School’s FFA greenhouse project. The check presentation took place on May 20th.

“We have a great group of FFA members that are leading this fundraising campaign,” said Bob Baumgard, GHV FFA adviser. “This project is important to the future of our FFA chapter. The project will use the latest greenhouse technology and will help enhance student learning in agronomy.”

The new greenhouse will provide students with additional FFA SAE projects and plans to incorporate fresh and student grown produce into the school lunch program Baumgard said.

In addition to MaxYield’s $2500 contribution, the project will receive $2500 in matching funds from Land O’Lakes Foundation.
