Drake Frideres, a senior at Iowa State University, is sure that his Seed and Agronomy Sales internship at MaxYield has helped grow him professionally, taking him one step closer to his career. Drake is majoring in Ag Studies and minoring in Agronomy, and has been exposed to the seed sales industry since he was young. Drake doesn’t mind following in his father’s footsteps, and feels that his MaxYield internship has given him valuable industry knowledge and experience.

Q: What have you enjoyed most about your Seed and Agronomy internship?

A: I have enjoyed discovering and working through the challenges of finding the best management decisions, with soil types, choosing seed for clients and having new technology with seed.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: At Iowa State I am a member of the Ag Business Club. I like golfing too and have had the chance to be a CBS Sports producer’s assistant at pro golf tournaments.

Q: What are your career goals?

A: I’m pretty open to where my career might take me geographically. I know that my previous experience soil testing made me a more attractive candidate for this Seed and Agronomy Sales internship. I’m glad it worked out because seed sales is a career I think I will feel at home doing.
