Susan Post named next CFO of MaxYield Cooperative

Susan Post has been named Chief Financial Officer of MaxYield Cooperative, effective January 1, 2014. The appointment was announced recently by Keith Heim, MaxYield Cooperative CEO.

Post will succeed Robert Burkhardt, who in April announced his intention to retire from the company at year’s end.

Post will be based in MaxYield’s headquarters in West Bend, Iowa.

Heim said, “Having to replace someone with the experience and leadership of Bob Burkhardt would be an enormous challenge for any company, however, we were extremely fortunate to have quality candidates apply for this position. With Susan’s qualifications and background, we are confident that she will provide the necessary leadership to continue the success of MaxYield Cooperative.”

Before joining MaxYield, Post established and operated an accounting and tax practice in Titonka, IA. Her firm specialized in individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and non-profit tax preparation, plus accounting and payroll services.

Since 2004, she has served as a board member and audit committee chair for Midwest Grain Processors Cooperative (MGP). In this role she assisted in financing of projects, audits, equity raises and maintaining and protecting farmer interests in the ethanol facility.

Post also represented MGP Co-op and farmer interests as a board member for Global Ethanol, Inc. from 2006 to 2010.

Prior to establishing her accounting firm, Post served as an auditor at McGladrey and Pullen, located in their Des Moines and Mason City, IA offices.

Post earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, she has held Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.

Post and her husband Allen reside on their farm near Woden, IA and have three children.
